Spring Equinox at Meditation Mount

Celebrate the Spring Equinox and your Essential Divine Nature while bringing together breath, sound, conscious movement, sharing, and meditation at Meditation Mount Sunday, March 19th, 2023, from 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm.

The Spring Equinox is the breath before moving into the next energy, equal day and equal night.  We will ground, center, and connect with the elements through Creative Meditation, breathwork, and a sound bath led by Kelly Jean Anderson and Lyndsay Pennington.  Karen Nitsche will then lead us through the Contact Beyond Contact dance experience.  The day will close with a group circle to share reflections and set intentions for the new season. 

Sound helps our bodies ease into the parasympathetic nervous system allowing us to heal at a cellular level. Let yourself go deep, guided by sound and vibration, connecting to your heart and the heart of Gaia.   

Contact Beyond Contact (CBC) is a dance and healing practice that integrates Authentic Movement (AM), Contact Improvisation (CI), and Passing Through (PT) with healing modalities and energy work. It allows you to genuinely connect within the individual self, with an-other, with the environment as well as with the world beyond the means of physical contact. These practices are well woven together to create a holistic integration of the Body, Mind, Heart, and Spirit in a safe container where each individual can express, trust and transform.

Clear and respectful guidelines will support each individual’s expression and autonomy. With this safety, participants will expand their capacity to move and be moved, develop intimacy with self and others, and have opportunities to reflect on and articulate their experiences. 

The Meditation Mount Gate will open at 1:00 pm, allowing guests to center and connect with the land.

Kelly Jean Anderson is a singer, musician, and artist.  She clears, connects, and creates healing vibrations through transformative group or individual experiences using sound, breathwork, and vocal toning.  Through her own healing journey, she has learned to release energy (trauma, emotion) from the body using intention, breath, and sound vibration.  By opening our hearts, we heal ourselves, heal each other, and heal Gaia.   

Lyndsay Pennington is a Registered Yoga Teacher, Reiki Energy Healer, writer, artist, and spiritual seeker living in Ojai, California. A former media executive for over a decade, Lyndsay’s yoga and meditation practice helped her cope with the high-stress and “always-on” environment.  In 2018, she studied Yoga and Healing Sciences at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. Since then, she has taught private and group yoga classes, adapting her teachings to focus on each student’s individual journey.  She strives to make yoga accessible and inclusive for all who wish to practice.

A native of France, Karen Nitsche is a Breathwork Facilitator, Embodiment Guide, and Yoga teacher based in Ojai, California. A former dancer, Karen has spent her entire life expressing herself creatively through various modalities. She offers a therapeutic approach to movement filled with passion, creativity, and flow. She has trained in Holistic Yoga and Ceremonial practices with the Kula Collective. She also completed several facilitation courses in Contact Beyond Contact with Unity Space and facilitates dance healing sessions around the globe. Student of life, you’ll find her dancing, gathering in community, taking new courses to educate herself, and continually exploring new possibilities.

This event requires at least five registered attendees. If less than five guests are registered, it is subject to cancellation. You will be notified via email within eight hours of the event should the event be canceled due to registration and a full refund will be issued. Should you need to cancel your reservation, you may do so by emailing Connect@nullmeditationmount.org. Cancellations made prior to 24 hours before the event time are eligible for a full refund. Any cancellations made within 24 hours are not eligible for a refund.
