Gong Yoga Nidra with Carrie Gorrell and Lida Martin

December 17, 2022 | 12:00 pm 2:00 pm

Release, relax, and let go with gentle Yoga and gong Yoga Nidra, led by Carrie Gorrell and Lida Martin at Meditation Mount.

The session will begin with a Creative Meditation, peaceful Yoga flow, integrating breath with gentle movement, and continue with a beautiful gong Yoga Nidra experience.

One of the most profound ways to create relaxation with the Gong is through a guided process known as Yoga Nidra or “yogic sleep”. Yoga Nidra induces deep relaxation, heightens awareness, integrates changes, and accelerates healing. It is a powerful tool for therapeutic change. The Symphonic Gong is an amazing instrument that facilitates balance and ease in our physical and subtle bodies, releases stress, and is an opportunity for our entire nervous system to adjust and heal itself. Gong Yoga Nidra is an experience of deep relaxation and healing.

I release. I relax. I let go.

Please bring water, a yoga mat, blankets, and anything you may need to feel comfortable.

The Meditation Mount gate will open 30 minutes prior to the event start time, allowing guests time to center themselves and connect with the land.

This event requires at least five registered attendees.  If less than five guests are registered it is subject to cancellation.  You will be notified via email within two hours of the event should the event be canceled.

**To preserve Meditation Mount as a sacred sanctuary, we have a policy of no pets, no picnics and no alcohol. Thank you for understanding.

Lida Martin is passionate about working with energy to create health, wholeness, creativity, and joy. For over thirty-three years she has been a Yoga Teacher and Massage Therapist and currently teaches Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. Her private practice also includes Intuitive Tarot Readings, Chakra Balancing, Reiki, Shamanic Energy Healing, and Sound Healing. She also offers Mystical Journey Sessions for clarity and guidance as we explore our connection to ourselves, the Earth, Nature, and the Divine. She is a watercolor artist and enjoys gardening, music and riding her bike by the ocean. She is married and loves being a grandmother.

Carrie enjoys creating a space for each individual to define their own meaning of yoga. She hopes to inspire them to look beyond the physical and use their practice as a means of deepening connection with one’s true self. As Yoga Sutra 1.3 says, “Then the Seer (Self) abides in its own nature,” she believes we are all seers waiting to consciously connect with who we really are.

Carrie received her 500-hour certification in 2014. As her practice deepened, she became passionate about Yoga as a means of Self-Care and expanded her knowledge by studying and certifying as a practitioner of Urban Zen Therapy, which was founded by Donna Karan, Rodney Yee, and Colleen Yee, to bring Yoga, Breathwork, Reiki, and essential oil therapies to hospitals and care facilities around the world.
