The “View from the Mount” theme is: Crafting the New Normal
These past few years have been unsettling times for many. The disruption to normal rhythms and routine caused by the spread of Covid, civil unrest in various parts of the world, an alarming environmental crisis plus a general sense of precariousness has left large portions of the population in a state of uncertainty, apprehension and bewilderment.
It is as though the normalcy we counted upon for reassurance is slowly disappearing. Norms are the principles and values upon which we base and build our society. We are now faced with an amazing opportunity to revisit these norms and decide what the ‘new normal’ could look like as we work together in a spirit of cooperation.
During this session, we will examine the norms that form our present society and explore how best to make the needed shifts toward a more holistic approach to living based on a new set of principles and values.
