When the world is in pain, when there is crisis in a faraway lands or in our own, be it with the ever-changing conditions ranging from global warming to tyranny, economic downturns or moral disillusionment, there can be a sense of helplessness and urgency that together create a tinderbox in our psychic global field which can actually contribute to the mass pain and confusion that is already happening. In our fear, in our worry, we can become part of the problem rather than the solution. Just what we don’t want. Like Einstein said, you cannot solve a problem by using the same kind of thinking that created it.
This chaotic state creates a world-mood of frustration and reactivity that lead to anger, fear, worry, anxiety and all the rest. We wonder, how can I affect my world? Nothing seems to make a difference. We get cynical and sad, hopeless and depressed. The world is going to hell in a handbasket and it seems like there is nothing we can do about it.
But there is.
Service meditation is a powerful and real tool to help our world. It is a practice where we hold the world in it’s highest light while knowing it’s well being. We can add our note for negative or positive. Most of this is done unconsciously. By worrying we are adding to the fear note that is already so demonstrably present. By our conscious yes, by our conscious choice for love, we are contributing to the healing and balancing of our world. Love takes courage. Love takes consciousness.
When we meditate for the sake of someone else or in the name of a greater cause, we are joining with a force for good that is creative and powerful. We are assisting in a divine and cosmic living solution. By holding our world, our planet, and every being on it, in a state of light we are helping to midwife a better world and assist in an evolutional push for all of humanity and every other kingdom of nature too. Our oceans benefit, our trees benefit, our animals benefit and we benefit too. Personally. And globally.
For us at Meditation Mount, it is a great privilege to join into World Service meditations. Whether it be for a friend who is ill or a country in turmoil, it is an opportunity to really help. And the good news is that you can do it right now, even if you have never meditated. It is all about intention and connection and alignment, and finally it really is about love. It is an act of love. We hope you will join us!
We now offer free streaming meditation music.
