Workshop: Loving-Kindness (Day 1 of 3)
July 22, 2016 | 10:30 am - 4:30 pm$175
The Path of Spiritual Activism Loving-Kindness
Harnessing our Power Potential as a Force for Change Within Our World
WITH GREG TZINBERG AND THERESA DE RIGGS
This three-day workshop takes a non-religious but Spiritual approach towards creating change within ourselves and making a positive impact upon our environment utilising the principles of Loving-Kindness.
We have all read the books, taken the classes, attended the lectures and done our best to live a constructive and caring life. We know that all traditions teach that love and compassion are prerequisites for living a caring and meaningful life but how do we “get there”?
This workshop offers an opportunity to utilise one’s own spiritual values and capabilities in real and meaningful ways to produce new insights and powerful effects within our inner and outer environment. Instead of focussing on outer conditions we can apply Loving-Kindness to address the inner state of being that lies behind outer circumstances. By focusing the energy of Loving Kindness into the cause of suffering we bring about a new condition and create changes within old patterns, circumstances and conditions. We can then apply these skills to address our own life, those around us and even add to the growing global momentum for goodwill and right human relations throughout the world.
Greg Tzinberg and Theresa de Riggs are both long-time students and teachers of the New Thoughtform Presentation of the Wisdom and Tibetan Buddhism. Much of their work is based on the teachings of Lucille Cedercrans-Schaible who wrote the Nature of the Soul series of lessons and then went on to become a recognized teacher of the Nyingma Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Recently they have been traveling throughout the U.S., Costa Rica and Australia presenting classes, workshops and retreats focusing on various aspects of meditation, individual and group work.
